It is also famous for the wind-sculpted red and white sand dunes that make great postcard shots and adventurous sports.
Access: Situated on the far south coast Vietnam, Phan Thiet is a 5-hour drive from either Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) or Nha Trang.
Activities in the area: Check out the production of nuoc mam (fish sauce seasoning commonly used in Vietnamese cuisine). To the north of Mui Ne are golden sand dunes and ‘Lotus Lake’ which make for a great half day visit. Golf lovers will be delighted with a choice of two international class golf courses overlooking the sea – Ocean Dunes and the recently established Sealinks. South of Phan Thiet is the fabulous hundred year old French designed lighthouse of Ke Ga.

Access: Situated on the south central coast, Nha Trang’s Cam Ranh Airport is reachable by a 1-hour flight from Saigon and 1hour 30min flight from Hanoi. Overnight trains operate from Ho Chi Minh City are recommended for those who desire overnight rail travel.
Activities in the area: Scattered off the coast of Nha Trang are islands, great for snorkelling or for relaxing on one of the countless beaches for either a half or full day trip. Nha Trang is the scuba diving centre of Vietnam, the abundance of marine life makes for fascinating exploration and extensive coral biodiversity, with over 350 species of coral found at dive sites. Countryside tours can be arranged with visits to villages and light trekking to inland forests.
